Which Asiwo Scooter Should You Buy?

Asiwo sells a few water scooters. Here is what its site and guides say about them. Prices change, so check the product page.

• Asiwo Manta 2: A dual motor sea scooter with a top speed of 2.5 m/s and a 40 m depth rating. Asiwo lists about 90 minutes of run time on normal use and a weight of 4.5 kg (9.9 lbs) with the battery. It has a camera mount and three speed modes.
• Asiwo Manta: The first Manta, made for pool and sea. Asiwo has a guide that compares it with the Manta 2.
• Asiwo Mako: An electric kickboard for water fun.
• Asiwo U1: A diver propulsion vehicle with a 1100W motor and a 50 m depth rating. Asiwo lists a top speed of about 3 m/s and 1 to 2 hours of battery life. It can also work as a motor for a SUP board. The U1 was listed at $1,199 at the time of writing.

Simple guide: pick the Manta 2 for snorkeling and travel, since it is light and small. Pick the U1 for deeper dives or for SUP boards. Check the depth rating and only use a scooter within your own skill and dive training.

Safety note: water scooters can be dangerous if used wrongly. Follow the user guide, use the safety lock, and never dive alone.
